This page explains how you can delete your 10kQ account, what happens to your data, and which information we may keep for a limited time.
1. How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly from the app at any time:
- Open the 10kQ app.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the warning and confirm.
After confirmation your account is scheduled for deletion. You do not need to send an additional email request, but you can contact us if you have any questions.
You can also ask us to delete your account by email:
write to maksim@subschool.us from the email address linked to your 10kQ account and clearly state that you want your account deleted.
We recommend exporting your data (JSON export) from the app before deleting your account if you want to keep a copy.
2. Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymise:
- Your account profile (email or other identifier used in 10kQ).
- All journal entries and answers.
- All weekly and monthly summaries linked to your account.
- In-app tags, markers and preferences linked to your account.
Deletion normally happens from our active databases within 30 days after you confirm deletion in the app or we process your email request.
3. Data that may be retained
Some information cannot be immediately deleted for legal, security or technical reasons. We may retain:
- Payment and transaction records related to subscriptions (kept up to 6 years for accounting and tax purposes, as required by law).
- Technical logs and security records (typically kept from a few weeks up to 12 months to protect the Service and investigate abuse).
- Backups: your data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period according to our backup rotation (normally up to 30–90 days), after which it is overwritten.
- Aggregated / anonymised analytics that no longer allow us to identify you personally (for example, statistics on feature usage). This data is not linked to your account.
App stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) may also keep their own transaction history under their privacy policies. We do not control this retention.
